Screen It! 2009
Young Australians screen their online worlds
What’s it like growing up in a cyberworld? What does it mean to be a digital citizen? And how do you manage online friendships and conflict, like cyberbullying?
Young people across Australia tackled the issue of what it means to be ‘cybersmart’ in the Screen It 2009 competition.
Sponsored by the ACMA and run by the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Screen It is an annual film competition, open to primary and secondary students across Australia. Entries include live-action films, computer games and animations.
In 2009, the competition received over 172 entries from nearly 500 students.
As part of Safer Internet Day, a selection of cybersafety-related films are now showcased on the Cybersmart website.
