What do young people aged 14-15 say about being online?
Three videos are available for viewing for ages 14–15 where young people discuss their use of technologies. The videos provide a rich landscape of young people’s use of technologies and their reflections on the importance of technologies in their lives. Young people in middle to upper secondary school discuss their skills and knowledge in regard to the technologies they use for information, communication and to keep connected, including the use of the internet to create and share information. They describe how they keep safe online and their concerns about ethical use of technologies.
In a fourth video, secondary school educators describe their roles in ensuring that schools include challenging and creative use of technologies in their teaching programs and of creating whole school cybersafety programs with student input.
