What do young people aged 12-13 say about being online
Three videos are available for viewing for ages 12–13 where young people discuss their use of technologies. The videos provide a rich landscape of young people’s use of technologies and their reflections on the importance of technologies in their lives.
Young people discuss the importance to them of being informed, entertained and connected. They describe the importance of schools including processes to deal with cyberbullying that include student input and how they keep safe and ethical online.
In a fourth video, secondary school educators describe their roles in ensuring that schools include challenging and creative use of technologies in their teaching programs and of creating whole school cybersafety programs.
