Hector’s World™ Episode 1 ‘Online Privacy’
Hector's World™ offers an engaging group of animated characters with whom children aged 5–9 years old can form strong emotional bonds and use as positive role models.
Students learn that some information is precious or special because it applies just to them. Students learn that this personal information is valuable and should not be shared online or in real life without a parent or teacher’s permission.
Students view ‘Details, Details…’ which introduces the cybersafety theme of personal information online.
Teaching and learning activities include guided discussion and a worksheet.

Hector’s World™ Episode 2 ‘Welcome to the Carnival’
Hector's World™ offers an engaging group of animated characters with whom children aged 5–9 years old can form strong emotional bonds and use as positive role models.
Students learn that not everyone they meet is automatically trustworthy, and begin to identify the characteristics of people who are worthy of their trust and who can help them make positive choices to keep them safe.
Students view ‘Welcome to the Carnival’. Teaching and learning activities include guided discussion and activities to explore how we might assess ‘trustworthiness’. Students think about the people in their lives they know will help them and who they can trust.

Hector's World™ offers an engaging group of animated characters with whom children aged 5–9 years old can form strong emotional bonds and use as positive role models
Students begin to understand some of the qualities that can be used to assess if a person is trustworthy and to identify situations in which it is wise to turn to a trusted adult for help
Students view ‘It’s a Serious Game’. Teaching and learning activities include guided discussion and a worksheet as they look for information in the story to back up their answers about each character’s trustworthiness.

Budd:e E-security Education Package
The Stay Smart Online website hosts the Budd:e E-security Education Package which is designed to raise the e-security awareness of Australian primary and secondary school students and help them stay smart online.
Both modules contain engaging, media rich activities and resources developed in consultation with teachers and subject matter experts.
