The Cybersmart Schools Gateway houses a wide range of cybersafety information and teaching resources for primary and secondary schools. These accessible and engaging materials are designed to help schools develop and implement a holistic approach to cybersafety.

Schools Gateway resources

The Schools Gateway provides resources including:

  • Cybersmart Access: a set of four fun games and units of work designed to reinforce key cybersafety messages to children with special education needs. Designed for use by all middle years students regardless of their abilities
  • Tagged is a short film accompanied by educational resources and recommended for use with students aged 14 and over and is free of charge. Tagged encourages young people to reflect on the real life consequences of cyberbullying, digital reputation, sexting and online interactions. Order your copy of Tagged now.
  • cybersafety guides to help schools address current cybersafety issues including cyberbullying and sexting
  • teacher resources to help teachers build comprehensive cybersafety programs from lower primary to upper secondary
  • videos of children and young people talking about their use of online tools and services, and school staff speaking about the role of schools in managing technology use
  • technology guides which explain the online tools and services commonly used by children and young people
  • profiles outlining the relevant skills and knowledge children and young people of different ages need to behave as safe and responsible cybercitizens
  • policies and procedures which recommend approaches to encouraging cybersafe behaviour throughout schools
  • teacher professional development at no cost to the school
  • school seminars for parents, students and staff at no cost to the school
