The ACMA’s Cybersmart program is offering schools across Australia the opportunity to participate in a nationwide Cybersmart Detectives event during National Child Protection Week on 8 September.

National Child Protection Week is an annual event that raises awareness of child abuse prevention in the community.

The Cybersmart program supports the week by running Cybersmart Detectives, a one-hour in-school activity for children in upper primary years which teaches students valuable messages about internet safety and strangers online. Police, teachers and online safety experts from around Australia lend their time and experience to the activity to help communicate cybersafety messages to participating students.

The Cybersmart Detectives national activity will be conducted on 8 September. Schools interested in participating are invited to register by contacting the Cybersafety Programs section on 1300 669 024 or isl@acma.gov.au
