Hector helps children to learn computer security skills

A new episode in the popular online safety program Hector’s World™ was launched today by the ACMA. Developed by New Zealand charity, Hector’s World Ltd, the episode introduces the foundations of computer security skills to a young audience.

Children aged 5 – 9 years will learn about using strong and secure passwords and to be watchful of viruses.

The episode premiered on an interactive whiteboard before a class of digitally savvy third graders at Birchgrove Public School in Sydney.
