ACMA extends cybersafety education to trainee teachers

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (the ACMA) has extended its successful cybersafety education program with the launch of a new pilot for pre-service teachers.
Cybersafety Outreach—Pre-Service Teacher program is a national cybersafety professional development program designed for trainee teachers in primary, secondary and graduate diploma teaching courses. The program, which provides new teachers with up-to-date knowledge, skills and practical advice on cybersafety, is being launched at the Australian Catholic University (ACU) in Strathfield, NSW. Topics covered include cyberbullying, communicating safely, safe social networking, and e-security.
